Part Time Bookkeeper

Orka Financial are working with a growing business based in the Surrey area who are looking for an experienced and proactive Bookkeeper who will be required to manage the day-to-day financial operations for the business. This hands on role suits someone who is confident working independently and capable of handling a broad range of financial and administrative tasks. This role will be on a part time basis doing 22.5 hours per week.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end bookkeeping.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Complete bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts, management accounts, and financial reports.
  • Handle payroll processing and commission calculations.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Liaise with internal staff, subcontractors, and external accountants.
  • Support HR administration and subcontractor compliance.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed.


Key Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping, finance, or accounts administration.
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero (or similar software).
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills.


Salary - £22,500 per year based on a 22.5 hour working week.
