Join Our Team as a Customer Service Advisor – Based in Oldham

Are you passionate about helping others and delivering outstanding service? We’re looking to recruit several Customer Service Advisors to join our friendly and dedicated team in Oldham.

What You’ll Do

As a Customer Service Advisor, you’ll be the first point of contact for our residents. You’ll handle a variety of queries, some of which may be sensitive or complex, with empathy and professionalism. Your role will be key in ensuring our residents feel heard, supported, and valued.

About the Role

  • Full-time: 35 hours per week or Part time: fixed shifts over 5 days 
  • Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote
  • Shift pattern: Rotational shifts covering 8:00am – 8:00pm

Skills

  • Exceptional customer service skills: Proven experience in delivering outstanding support, with a genuine commitment to helping others.
  • Strong communication abilities: Confident and clear across phone, email, and live chat.
  • Attention to detail: Methodical, accurate, and reliable in recording information.

You’ll be able to demonstrate

Essential:

  • Proven experience of providing excellent customer service.
  • Proven experience of debt prevention, collection and recovery.
  • Proven ability to work methodically, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information.
  • Previous experience in a target driven environment.
  • Good oral and written communications.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrate the Guinness Behaviours.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of welfare benefits.
  • Proven experience of dealing with customers sensitively in difficult situations.
  • Experience of working in the housing industry.
  • Experience of using contact centre systems and / or live chat.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Level 2 (C+ or 9-4 GCSE or equivalent) English and Maths.

Desirable:

  • Relevant professional qualification e.g. CIH Level 3.

We will be holding an assessment centre on 3rd November with remote, final stage video interviews to take place later that week.
