Location: Primary School, Keynsham

Contract: Part-time. Temporary to permanent

Hours: 4 days per week (flexibility available), term time only

Start date: As soon as possible

Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications

Class People are delighted to be working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Keynsham who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their Nursery team. This role involves supporting a child with additional needs, helping them to flourish in a caring and stimulating early years environment.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and making a meaningful difference in a child’s learning journey.

The role:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a child with specific learning and communication needs within the Nursery setting.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement individual learning plans and tailored interventions.
  • Support the child’s social, emotional and physical development through play-based learning.
  • Encourage independence, engagement, and inclusion in all aspects of nursery life.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with young children, ideally within an Early Years setting.
  • Be patient, caring, and adaptable, with a positive and proactive approach.
  • Possess strong communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Hold (or be working towards) a relevant Early Years or Teaching Assistant qualification.- Level 2 ideally
