Behaviour Support Assistant – SEMH Schools (Sheffield)

Full-Time & Part-Time Roles Available

We are currently seeking Behaviour Support Assistants to work across a range of SEMH schools in the Sheffield area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are resilient, compassionate, and committed to supporting students who require additional behavioural and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
  • Work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to support student progress
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Experience in SEMH or alternative provision settings
  • Team Teach or equivalent behaviour management training (Desirable)
