We are seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to join our team. This role involves working closely with the Chief Executive Officer to ensure proactive, efficient, and effective financial administration of our charitable resources. The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining financial viability and implementing robust financial policies and processes.
Day-to-day of the role:
Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer to provide efficient financial administration and ensure the financial viability of the organisation.
Maintain and enhance internal financial systems and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in line with internal policies and relevant regulations.
Manage the fee income model, ensuring its accuracy and effectiveness.
Conduct internal audits of benefits and bank accounts as required and assist in the administration of service expenditure.
Prepare and oversee annual budgets, and produce accurate monthly financial reports and cash flows for the Chief Executive Officer and Trustees.
Support the financial administration of fundraising activities, ensuring accurate recording of income and expenditure.
Manage bank balances, credit card facilities, accounts receivable and payable, and payroll.
Produce monthly management accounts and year-end reports, and work with external auditors for the production of statutory accounts.
Maintain the fixed asset register, process annual depreciation charges, and ensure compliance with Charity Commission, Companies House, and HMRC requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in financial management, preferably within a charitable or non-profit organisation.
Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Proficiency in managing budgets, audits, and financial reporting.
Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and external partners.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in financial software and systems.
