Finance Manager | SME Textiles | £55k-£65k | Hybrid | Full Time or Part Time | South Manchester

Job Overview:

Axon Moore is delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a high-growth SME that is going on an exciting journey and is looking for a no.1 in Finance to join them as the CEO guides a business with deep tradition in the industry to new heights.

On the back of completing a Trade Sale with a previous business, the CEO is looking to leverage their longstanding relationships within the industry to support the rapid progression of this luxury brand. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful incumbent will be responsible for all matters relating to Finance, managing one member of staff, and building out a robust controls function, leveraging a newly implemented finance system.

The role is available both Full Time, or Part Time (4 days a week), dependent on experience and contribution to the business. I am looking for someone who has experience with Stock/ Goods, in a fast-moving and operational business environment.

Given the importance of this position, we are ideally looking for someone available for an immediate start or to begin within one month.

Main Duties:

• Provide accurate and timely monthly management accounts
• Cash management and forecasting
• Quarterly VAT Returns
• Ensure financial processes and controls are improved
• Support the Accounts Assistant with the purchase ledger process
• Manage supplier payments
• Produce annual budgets and reforecasts
• Audit preparation and working with the external auditors
• Develop a clear MI to assist the business in key decision-making
• Partner directly with the CEO, provide key financial metrics to support ongoing business growth
• Partner with other Heads of Departments to ensure the best working practice across the business

Person Specification:

• Qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or Qualified by Experience
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with a high attention to detail.
• Previous experience working in a stock-based environment is Essential.
• Previous experience managing members of staff.
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics is Desirable.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and ever-changing business is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver on deadlines.
• Experience working in an SME environment.
• Experience working as a no1 in Finance is Desirable.
