Davies are looking to recruit a dedicated Team Manager to support our busy claims team in Preston. Joining Davies as our new Team Manager means that you’ll play a key part in managing a team dedicated to the management of claims for numerous clients. So, you’ll need to come to us with a strong Claims background, and the appetite to lead a team in a fast-paced and continually evolving environment.
What will your day look like:
Ownership and oversight of the claims handling team, including management of team workload
Managing a mixture of remote and office based claims handlers
Development of claims handlers to achieve client SLA’s via support and coaching
Ensure a high level of staff engagement
Attend Client Review Meetings where appropriate
Conducting regular performance and audit reviews, include annual PDR’s
Managing claims handler absences
Continuous improvement focus leading excellent customer service and technical delivery of claims
Complaint escalation point
Ensure Key Performance Indicator targets are reached and maintained.
Oversight of payment audit approval process to defined limits
Involvement in recruitment and interview processes for claims handler/administrator roles

A genuine passion for people management
The confidence and gravitas to act as an efficient escalation point: Claims and team related queries / Complaints. Experience of Customer Service and Claims Management in an insurance background.
