HR Advisor - Part-Time
WSR are looking for a part-time HR Advisor to join the team of our esteemed client based in Milton Keynes.
Hours: Part Time (22.5 hours per week)
Salary: £23 - £25 per hour
Reporting to: HR Business Partner / Head of HR
Location: Milton Keynes (with travel to Corby and occasionally London)

To provide a proactive, high-quality HR advisory service to managers and employees across the organisation, supporting the implementation of HR policies and procedures while promoting best practice and compliance with employment legislation.

Key responsibilities
- Provide HR advice and guidance to managers on all HR and employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment law.
- Attend and support formal meetings such as disciplinary, grievance, absence, and flexible working meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up.
- Assist HR Administrators during busy periods (e.g. payroll, onboarding) and help identify improvements in administrative processes and templates.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve employee engagement, retention, and performance across the business.
- Support recruitment and resourcing activities in partnership with the People Acquisition team, including interviewing and candidate coordination.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree educated (or equivalent qualification in HR or related discipline).
- Based in or near Milton Keynes, with flexibility to travel to Corby and London when required.
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role managing a range of HR issues from end to end.
- Confident supporting managers with employee relations cases (performance, disciplinary, grievance, absence, etc.).
- Experience supporting recruitment processes and interviewing candidates.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with a diplomatic and positive attitude.
Specific Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to draft clear, concise letters and policies.
- High attention to detail, with strong organisational and time management skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proactive, flexible, and adaptable to changing demands.
Team player with a “can do” attitude, happy to assist across HR functions. - Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
