We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced 1:1 Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded primary school in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. Join an inclusive, specialist day and residential school dedicated to supporting 90+ learners (ages 5-19) with moderate to profound complex needs, including Autism and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

As an essential component of our team, you will assist youth by:

• Delivering committed, all-encompassing assistance that extends beyond the classroom.
• Putting an emphasis on wellbeing, life skills, and personal growth.
• Assisting with complex requirements in a dynamic, creative setting.

This is a full-time, permanent role: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Term-Time Only. ASAP start (notice periods considered).

Essential Requirements:

• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).

• Eligibility to work in the UK.

• Desirable: Level 2 Diploma in Teaching and Learning (or similar).

• Experience working 1:1 with children or young adults with Autism and complex SEN.

• Strong understanding and practical experience with various SEN communication strategies.

• A nurturing, patient, resilient, and highly adaptable approach.
