Internal Sales Specialist

Location: Office based in Hook, Hampshire with hybrid flexibility considered

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full or Part-Time

Salary: Competitive

The Role

Your Challenges:

  • Manage customer accounts, maximising sales opportunities within them.
  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, and cross-sell the company’s products.
  • Assist in the lead generation of new customers using databases, Web search and LinkedIn.
  • Use of the CRM system to record customer activity and information.
  • Prepare a monthly sales report and area budgets and forecasts as required.
  • Enter orders and prepare customer quotes using the company ERP system.

Requirements:

  • Can demonstrate a successful sales track record.
  • Confident to work on own initiative as well as a team player.
  • Highly motivated to achieve the sales target.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong account management and relationship building skills.
  • Knowledge of the Epicor ERP system is an advantage

Key Responsibilities

  • Process sales orders received into the company, ensure that all orders are processed accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Deal promptly and efficiently with customer enquiries and any other customer issues.
  • Manage and develop relationships with customers, identify cross selling and upselling opportunities.
  • Send quotations to customers and progress via a CRM system.
  • Raise sales invoices for completed and dispatched orders
  • Maintain the Company filing system.
  • Maintain and develop the Company CRM system.
  • Support external Account Managers in their work.
  • Liaise with different departments inside the Company to ensure the smooth running of operations.
  • Lead generation and qualification of new customers using databases, web search and LinkedIn
  • General Office, telephony, call filtering and other duties as the management of the Company may at times reasonably require

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in the use of ERP systems, CRM and LinkedIn.
  • Microsoft office proficiency, especially Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Experience of internal sales and account management (3 years minimum) in a similar role.
  • Can communicate with customers to understand their needs and requirements
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Good communications skills

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Can identify opportunities and cross sell products to existing customers.
  • Can manage customer relationships, grow and retain existing accounts
  • Has worked for a company manufacturing or distributing electronic components
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, positive outlook.
  • Organised with time management skills, ability to multitask, an eye for detail.
  • Professional, likeable, good personal hygiene.
  • Can build, develop and maintain long term relationships with customers.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Level education standard or equivalent experience.

Practical Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
