Role: Support Worker

Role Description:

We are excited to announce that we are looking for experienced support workers to join our team at Lichfield Close in Netherton. This facility offers a warm, home-like environment where we provide residential support and care for three gentlemen with learning and physical difficulties.

Your role will be vital in supporting each person's unique needs, as we tailor our services to ensure that the individuals we assist are the key decision-makers in their care. Our dedicated team at Lichfield Close works on a rota basis to provide the necessary support to these gentlemen, fostering an environment of respect and dignity.

Experience and Skills of a Support Worker:

• Good listening and communication skills with people with a learning disability.
• It would be desirable if you had health care experience, preferably supporting individuals with complex needs ( physical and learning disabilities) but it's not essential.
• Ability to encourage and enable service users to make choices and take control of their lives, and increase independence.
• Ability to assist Service Users in all areas of personal care in ways that maintain independence, privacy and dignity.
• Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a range of people and professionals, as listed in the job description.
• Ability to respond to and complete paperwork.
• Good organisational skills.
• Good teamwork skills. Basic IT Skills (Microsoft Office Packages)

Hours: Contracts available 19 Hours or 39 Hours
