Cleaner Opportunities – Term-Time Roles Available

I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established independent school located in a beautiful rural setting just outside Chester. The school is seeking reliable and enthusiastic Cleaners to join their Estates Team. These are permanent, part-time roles offering a supportive working environment and a strong sense of community.

Cleaner – 31.25 Hours per Week (Term Time + Holidays)

I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a respected independent school located in a picturesque rural setting near Chester. They’re looking for a dedicated Cleaner to join their Estates Team on a permanent, part-time basis.

 Location: Infant & Junior School site
Hours: 11:30am – 6:15pm (includes 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Working Pattern: Term time plus 6 weeks during school holidays
Salary: Approx. £17,834 per annum (£12.39/hour)

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning classrooms, communal areas, and toilets to a high standard
• Supporting children’s lunch duties
• Reporting maintenance issues
• Covering across both school sites when needed
• Adhering to health and safety and safeguarding policies

Ideal Candidate:

• Positive and proactive attitude
• Previous cleaning experience (training provided)
• Good understanding of Health & Safety (COSHH desirable)
• Strong time management and attention to detail
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

This role is subject to enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding procedures.

Cleaner – 22.5 Hours per Week (Term Time Only)

I’m recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded independent school based just outside Chester, who are seeking a reliable Cleaner to support their Estates Team.

Location: Senior School site
Hours: 2:00pm – 6:30pm, Monday to Friday
Working Pattern: Term time only
Salary: Approx. £10,961 per annum (£12.39/hour)
Transport: Own transport required due to rural location

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning classrooms, communal areas, and toilets
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene
• Reporting maintenance issues
• Occasionally covering at a second site (transport provided)
• Adhering to health and safety and safeguarding policies

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous cleaning experience (training provided)
• Good understanding of Health & Safety (COSHH desirable)
• Strong time management and attention to detail
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Must have own transport
