Your new company:

Our client is a well-established transport business, operating across 10+ sites and turning over in excess of £80m. Still family owned, they’ve built their success on long-term relationships, steady growth, and genuine care for their people.Based at their Preston head office, you’ll join a close-knit finance team who’ll support your development and help you take your first big step in your accounting career.

How you’ll spend your time:

  • Managing and maintaining the sales ledger
  • Raising and sending customer invoices
  • Allocating customer payments and reconciling accounts
  • Chasing overdue invoices and helping resolve payment queries
  • Supporting with general accounts admin and filing
  • Assisting the wider finance team with month-end preparation
  • Learning new systems and developing your accounting knowledge as you go

This opportunity will be great for you if:
  • You’ve got around 12 months’ experience in an accounts or finance admin role (maybe from an apprenticeship or your first job in finance)
  • You’re studying or have completed AAT Level 2 (or equivalent) and want to keep learning
  • You’ve got a good eye for detail, are confident with Excel, and enjoy seeing things balance
  • You’re friendly, reliable, and happy to muck in wherever needed
