As Financial Accountant, this is a newly created part time role working closely with the CFO of a scaling business lending organisation. Duties will include;

• Preparation of the monthly management accounts and analysis
• Responsible for the month end close including journal postings, fixed assets and balance sheet recs
• Overseeing the work of the outsourced bookkeeper responsible for accounts payable and bank reconciliations
• Supporting the external accountants with completion of annual financial statements and corporation tax returns
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
• Support the external audit
• Prepare monthly reporting to their funding providers
• Support key finance projects such as continued automation and reporting across the group SPV’s.
• Monthly and quarterly interest, facility fee and commission calculations

The required skills and experiences are:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Experience of month end close and financial/management accounting and reporting
• Any experience of lending/financial services/fintech desirable not essential
• Someone happy to be hands on in a small yet growing business

This is 3 days per week or the hours can be spread across 4 or 5 days. There is hybrid working and can be mainly remote if you live further away from London for the right candidate.
