Part – Time Logistics & Stores Operative - Permanent

Location: Rugby

Salary: £13.00p/h

Hours: Part-Time Permanent (09:00 – 15:00) Monday to Thursday, 30 minutes lunch

Our client is a long-established engineering manufacturer based in Rugby and they are looking for a Logistics & Stores Operative to join their Stores Department. This is a hands-on role at the heart of their operation, making sure components and finished products are packed, labelled and moved accurately, safely and on time. You’ll be working closely with colleagues across Stores, Production and Sales, helping to keep material flowing smoothly through the business.

Duties:

• Preparing, packing and labelling products and components for internal use and external dispatch

• Checking part descriptions and quantities against our ERP system (SAGE), and raising any discrepancies

• Laser marking components to customers specifications

• Ensuring items are packed using the correct materials and labelled clearly for identification and delivery

• Verifying delivery details and ensuring shipments leave on time

• Working with Production and Sales to ensure goods are ready when needed

• Carrying out quality checks and self-inspection on completed work

• Training across multiple Stores areas including Detail Stores, Raw Materials and Internal Transport

• Picking, issuing and recording stock and materials accurately

• Receiving goods from suppliers and production

• Moving goods safely using equipment such as forklift trucks, pallet stackers and scissor lifts (training can be provided)

• Supporting day-to-day operations in Stores & Production as required

Experience Required:

• Previous experience in a stores, logistics, dispatch or packing role, ideally in manufacturing or engineering

• Good attention to detail, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately

• Comfortable working to deadlines and handling multiple tasks

• Confident using basic IT systems (Word, Excel, and similar)

• A methodical, organised working style

• A positive attitude, strong teamwork and good communication skills

• Willingness to learn and develop new skills across the department
