Job Title: Finance & Administration Assistant

Reports to: School Business Manager / Finance Manager

Purpose of Role:

To support the Finance Manager and wider Trust Finance team in delivering high-quality financial and administrative services, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and value for money across school operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Duties:

  • Assist with processing invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims using ACCESS
  • Maintain financial records and systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support budget monitoring by verifying purchase orders against budget allocations.
  • Manage petty cash, banking, and monthly reconciliations.
  • Generate financial reports for budgeting, funding, and year-end processes.
  • Maintain ParentPay system and support financial queries from parents.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and returns.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in finance administration, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Proficiency in ACCESS is a must to be considered for this position
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
