Job Title: Finance & Administration Assistant
Reports to: School Business Manager / Finance Manager Location: East London Department: Finance & Administration
Purpose of Role:
To support the Finance Manager and wider Trust Finance team in delivering high-quality financial and administrative services, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and value for money across school operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Duties:
Assist with processing invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims using ACCESS
Maintain financial records and systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Support budget monitoring by verifying purchase orders against budget allocations.
Manage petty cash, banking, and monthly reconciliations.
Generate financial reports for budgeting, funding, and year-end processes.
Maintain ParentPay system and support financial queries from parents.
Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and returns.
Skills & Experience:
Experience in finance administration, ideally within an educational setting.
Proficiency in ACCESS is a must to be considered for this position
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
Subject to school vetting procedures and safeguarding including Enhanced DBS clearance
