Part-Time Payroll Manager – Chartered Accountants (Wilmslow)
Hours: 25 hours per week (flexible working pattern available)

The Role:
Imperium Financial Recruitment are proud to be working on behalf of a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants based in Wilmslow, who are seeking an experienced Part-Time Payroll Manager to join their friendly and professional team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking for a flexible, part-time role within a supportive accountancy practice environment.
You’ll be responsible for managing the payroll function for a wide range of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. The role also involves overseeing a small payroll team, providing support and guidance as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process for a portfolio of clients.
- Supervise and support a small payroll team.
- Ensure compliance with current PAYE, RTI, Auto-Enrolment, and HMRC regulations.
- Liaise with clients to resolve payroll queries and provide exceptional service.
- Oversee payroll year-end processes, P60s, P11Ds, and related submissions.
- Work closely with partners and managers to ensure smooth departmental operations.
Key Requirements:
- Previous payroll management experience is essential.
- Experience within an accountancy practice environment preferred but not essential.
- Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Experience using payroll software (such as BrightPay, Sage, or similar).
