Accounts Assistant

A fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking and growing manufacturer, who supplies customers in multiple companies. Reporting to the Management Accountant, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with sales, purchasing and logistics team to ensure efficient management of financial transactions. You will be responsible for:

  • Sales Ledger - processing customer invoices & credit notes, ensuring customer payments are allocated correctly and resolving customer invoice queries
  • Purchase Ledger - processing supplier invoices and coding, reconciling supplier statements, resolving discrepancies, assisting in preparation of payment runs
  • Bank reconciliation - reconciling bank statements against accounting systems, investigating / resolving discrepancies or anomalies
  • General accounting support - preparing and processing journal entries, assisting with general finance and supporting month end processes
  • Some general administration - filing, scanning, archiving etc

This a full-time, in office position, the company are open to full or part-time hours, between 30-40 hours per week. Experience using Sage 50 would be highly beneficial, as would good communication and eagerness to develop new skills.
