We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Group AI Talent Lead.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced AI Talent Lead to drive HSBC's workforce planning and career development in the context of artificial intelligence. This pivotal role will shape how HSBC attracts, retains, and develops talent in a rapidly evolving AI landscape. By leading future-focused strategies, you will ensure the organisation remains competitive, responsible, and prepared for the workforce of tomorrow.

In this role, you will:

  • Talent Acquisition Leadership: Lead the design and delivery of strategies to attract and secure top talent aligned with HSBC's AI-driven future workforce needs.
  • Retention & Career Development Strategy: Build and implement programmes that strengthen employee retention and enable long-term career growth.
  • Workforce Planning: Spearhead future-focused workforce planning, anticipating how AI will reshape roles, skills, and career pathways.
  • Employee Engagement & Enablement: Lead initiatives that build engagement, capability, and trust, integrating AI into career development opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Partnerships: Partner with HR, Technology, and Learning teams to align workforce strategies with AI advancements and organisational objectives.


To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Talent Management Expertise: Extensive experience leading talent acquisition, retention, and career development strategies in large, complex organisations.
  • Financial Services Acumen: Strong knowledge of workforce dynamics within financial services and experience delivering change in regulated environments.
  • AI & Workforce Insight: In-depth understanding of AI technologies and how they influence future workforce planning and capability needs.
  • Governance & Risk Leadership: Experience ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and embedding responsible AI practices into workforce strategy.
  • Strategic Leadership Skills: Exceptional communication, influencing, and collaboration skills with a proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and deliver results.
