Job DetailsJob Title: Lecturer of Catering Department: Catering Campus: South DownsSalary: Grade 5 Spine Point 19 £32,510.78 - Grade 5 Spine Point 26 £42,483.46 FTE FTE/Hours & Weeks: 0.4FTE 10 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent About the RoleHSDC is seeking a Lecturer/Teacher of Catering to ensure outstanding success and progression through the delivery of inspirational teaching, learning and assessment from Level 1 to Level 3, of both practical and theoretical elements of the qualifications.

This opportunity will suit someone with a passion for both the subject and for student success. The postholder must be self-motivated and innovative, with the ability to inspire our students.
Responsibilities You will be responsible for:
  • Planning effectively and delivering high quality teaching, learning, assessment and support, leading to excellent attendance, retention and achievement.
  • To deliver formal scheduled teaching duties of both theory and practical lessons and student assessment.
  • To record, share and regularly monitor student progress using College information systems.
  • To prepare learning plans schemes of work, keep relevant records and undertake all administration relevant to teaching duties.
  • To attend marketing and promotional events.
Requirements You will need:
  • Level 5 or equivalent Teaching Qualification such as Certificate in Education or PGCE or willingness to work towards this.
  • High level of specialist knowledge of the subject area
  • At least 2 years’ experience in teaching the subject area to full-time or part-time students (Desirable).
  • Degree in relevant subject (Desirable)
