LEGAL ASSISTANT/SECRETARY

Full or Part Time

Our client is a well-established solicitors’ firm based in a sought-after location in the heart of York.

We are looking for a Legal Assistant/Secretary to join the firm. Training will be given where necessary but some prior office is essential and legal experience is required.

The main aspects of this role will be:

  • Audio and non-audio dictation
  • Providing secretarial and administrative support to the commercial property fee earners
  • Daily filing
  • Setting up new files and organising closure of completed files
  • Requesting property searches/land registry searches
  • Deal with client/third party queries

Our client is an Employee Ownership Trust, which means they are run on behalf of their staff, for the benefit of staff and clients.

The Ideal candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, have strong organisational skills and good IT knowledge. They will be a team player with a good sense of humour and work ethic and be able to organise and prioritise work.

The role can be full or part time. Salary will be dependent upon hours worked and experience.
