Part time HR Officer

Waddington Brown are delighted to be supporting a well-establishedglobal Management Consultancy in their search for a Part-Time HR Officer.

This is a key role working closely with the UK HR Manager to deliver a professional, efficient and reliable HR service to the UK operations, with occasional involvement in global projects. Based mainly in Cambridge (2 days a week) with some travel to London, this role offers variety, responsibility and the chance to make a real contribution to a respected organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the performance appraisal process
  • Deliver day-to-day HR activities across UK operations (and globally when required)
  • Assist the UK HR Manager with UK and global HR projects
  • Conduct training needs analysis and help develop the UK training plan
  • Provide accurate information for payroll and document monthly changes
  • Prepare HR-related reports as needed
  • Manage employee benefits and updates
  • Support recruitment and onboarding, including pre-employment checks

About you

  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law
  • Experience in recruitment, payroll administration and HR systems
  • Professional, proactive and detail-focused with sound judgement
