This specialist speech, language and communication difficulties and associated is seeking to recruit Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team. This role involves working within a small class team, providing personalised support to pupils/students at our residential special school and college. We cater to pupils/students aged 5 to 19 with speech, language and communication needs, learning difficulties, and other associated SEND.
Day-to-day of the role:
Provide tailored support to pupils/students, ensuring their individual needs are met in a nurturing and supportive manner.
Assist in the delivery of educational programs and activities designed to facilitate the learning and development of pupils/students with special educational needs.
Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a positive and effective learning environment.
Monitor and support the progress of pupils/students, adapting techniques as needed to suit individual learning styles and requirements.
Participate in training and development sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting pupils/students with SEND.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Positive, kind, and caring attitude with a genuine interest in the development of pupils/students with special educational needs.
Basic knowledge of the support needs of pupils with SEND.
Commitment to providing outstanding support and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with pupils, staff, and parents.
Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development to enhance personal skills and the educational experience of the pupils/students.
