Location: Eastern Region (Hybrid/Flexible Working)

Contract: Self-employed (2 days per week)

Remuneration: £24,000 per annum (performance-related pay optional)

This regional charity (Reg. Charity No. 1070957) supports talented young athletes across the East of England, from Essex to Norfolk, Northamptonshire to South Bucks. They provide financial help, recognition, and encouragement to emerging athletes at the very start of their journey. Their alumni contributed to 53 podium finishes at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

We are seeking an inspiring and dynamic Regional Director to lead the continued growth, develop key partnerships, and strengthen our fundraising activities to ensure long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver fundraising and philanthropy strategy.
  • Secure and nurture partnerships with corporate sponsors, trusts, and local donors.
  • Develop innovative fundraising approaches, combining traditional events with digital and social media engagement.
  • Oversee and enhance sponsor relationships to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Manage impact reporting and performance dashboards in collaboration with trustees and the Regional Administrator.
  • Promote the brand through compelling storytelling, digital marketing, and community engagement.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Proven success in fundraising, sponsorship, or partnership development.
  • Exceptional relationship management and communication skills.
  • Strong digital marketing and social media knowledge.
  • Experience in charity or not-for-profit leadership.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent project management and self-motivation.

Desirable:

  • Experience using CRM or digital engagement tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Understanding of CSR/ESG frameworks and how they align with sponsorship objectives.
