Full or part time role to suit the right candidate

Salary: £30,000 – £37,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

We are seeking a semi senior accountant to join our team.

You will need to be a member of The Association of Accounting Technicians or studying level 4 and previous experience in general practice is preferred. You must hold or are working towards certifications with accounting software providers such as Xero, Quickbooks, Freeagent. You will be working closely with OMB and SME clients so you must have good verbal and written communication skills to offer a wide range of non-audit services.

The key responsibilities for this role will be:

  • Year End Accounts preparation for sole traders, partnership and limited companies
  • Management Accounts preparation
  • Preparation of VAT returns, including full and part bookkeeping
  • Ensuring deadlines are met, liaising with clients and having a can-do attitude towards day-to-day tasks to maintain the smooth running of the office.

A dedicated home office is required for this position as remote working became permanent at Thursfields following its success during COVID. Your ‘home’ office must be within a 10 mile radius of our registered offices.

You will also need to have a valid driving license and access to a car for client visits and company meetings held on location.
