We are seeking a dedicated Administrator to join our team, playing a crucial role in supporting our administration team and Data Manager. Job Purpose

As an Administrator, you will work closely with the Office Manager, Data Manager, and Senior Leadership Team. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the administration of the school, preparing and administering data collection activities, and managing documents on various platforms including the school management information system and Excel. The role involves established procedures that allow for some initiative and requires responding independently to unexpected problems and situations with support from the wider admin team.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • School Administration: Support the efficient operation of the school by handling general office duties, data entry, answering routine calls, and managing face-to-face enquiries. Assist staff with general queries, printing, and resource management.
  • Data Support: Manage the administration of regular data returns by staff. Responsibilities include setting up marksheets, communicating deadlines, analysing data, and preparing reports.

Desired Skills

  • Experience in a busy school environment and adept at handling various administrative challenges including estates, health and safety, and compliance.
  • Proven ability to manage and maintain school data systems to ensure accurate student assessment information is available for decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently as well as part of a team.

Skills & Attributes

  • Ownership of a vehicle and a clean driving license (preferred but not essential).
  • Well-organised with the ability to manage, multitask, and prioritise tasks.
  • Confident in working independently, setting priorities, and managing a complex, diverse, and busy workload.
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing colleagues and working effectively across all levels of the organisation.
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Demonstrable experience in a school environment and/or within a data administration role.
  • Experience with IT systems such as Office 365, Teams, and MIS.
  • Experience in managing own diary, setting priorities, and organising workloads under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of health & safety, compliance, or premises management.
