The top end of the scale (£31,427) is reserved for candidates who have previously carried out the same role with direct and relevant experience.

About the Role Admissions Officer / Administrator

This is a key position within the admissions and administration team. You will support families through the admissions process, maintain accurate records and ensure that communication is warm, clear and supportive. The role includes both admissions responsibilities and wider school office duties, making every day varied and rewarding.


Key Responsibilities Admissions Officer / Administrator

  • Coordinating the full admissions process, including in-year admissions and the new Year 7 intake.
  • Maintaining waiting lists and ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
  • Communicating with parents and assisting those who may not speak English as a first language.
  • Requesting and preparing student files, and ensuring information is managed securely.
  • Producing letters, forms, induction materials and transition documents.
  • Supporting safeguarding processes for students joining and leaving the school.
  • Assisting with general office administration and contributing to the smooth daily operation of the office.
  • Supporting events such as open evenings and induction days.


What We Are Looking For Admissions Officer / Administrator

  • A strong administrative background, ideally in a busy or customer-focused setting.
  • Previous admissions experience would be highly beneficial.
  • Confident IT skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Warm and professional communication, with patience and understanding when supporting families.
  • A positive attitude, reliable work ethic and strong sense of teamwork.
