GI Group are currently recruiting multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers for our Internationally known client across the UK. This company provides courier services worldwide, focusing on the express road-based market and offering services such as delivery, freight forwarding, and logistics. They operate in numerous countries and are known for their technology, customer service, and commitment to sustainability.

Drivers shifts:

We are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to work afternoon shifts on a regular, ad-hoc basis.

• 1300-2030 starts
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend work available
• Average 10/12 hours per shift

Drivers pay & benefits:

London

• Monday to Friday: - £23.20 per hour *
• Saturday: £27.47 per hour *
• Sunday: £30.53 per hour *

* Please note that these pay rates are PAYE and include advanced holiday pay

Outside of London

• Monday to Friday: - £21.46 per hour *
• Saturday: £27.47 per hour *
• Sunday: £30.53 per hour *

HGV Driver main duties will include:

• Conducting Vehicle checks
• Clean and easy trunking work to depots
• Delivering safely to customers throughout the UK
• Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met

HGV Class 1 Driver requirements:

• A presentable appearance, an eye for detail and a positive attitude.
• No more than 6 penalty points. No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes
• Hold a valid, in date Tachograph & CPC
• Have good customer service skills
• Must have held HGV Class 1 License for at least 12 months
• Must have at least 6 months actual HGV Class 1 driving experience
