You’ll be joining a market-leading Energy Team, over 100+ lawyers strong, with deep sector expertise across the full energy lifecycle.


The Role


As a Commercial Contracts Legal Director, you’ll play a key role advising major players in the energy finance and corporate sectors. You’ll draft, negotiate, and manage high-value commercial agreements and support clients through the full lifecycle of renewable, net-zero, and low-carbon energy projects.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Draft, review, and negotiate energy-related contracts and project agreements.
  • Provide expert legal advice on energy law, regulation, and compliance.
  • Advise on project documents linked to renewable and low-carbon generation and storage.
  • Represent clients in negotiations with counterparties.
  • Support clients with risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver strategic legal solutions.


About You


You’ll be a commercially minded solicitor with a strong track record in complex transactional and contract work, ideally within the energy or infrastructure sectors. This role would suit either a Senior Associate ready to take the next step into a Legal Director position, or an established Legal Director seeking a new challenge within a top-tier international firm.


Essential Requirements:


  • Qualified Solicitor (7+ PQE) with significant commercial contracts experience.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Proven experience advising clients on complex commercial or transactional matters.
