Key Responsibilities

  • Parts Management: Identify, source, and order forklift parts and accessories accurately to meet customer needs.
  • Stock Control: Organise and maintain the parts stockroom, ensuring optimal stock levels and accurate cataloguing.
  • Customer Support: Assist customers in person, over the phone, and via email-helping them find the right parts for their equipment.
  • Engineering Collaboration: Provide the engineering team with up-to-date information on parts availability, pricing, and lead times.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay informed on the latest forklift models and parts, offering recommendations and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Order Processing: Manage and process orders with multiple manufacturers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Supplier Relations: Build strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery times, and availability.

Desired Qualifications

  • NEBOSH or IOSH certification in Health and Safety (preferred but not essential).
  • Previous experience in a parts department-ideally within the forklift or material handling industry.
  • Strong understanding of forklift components, parts catalogues, and stock management systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Computer proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues efficiently.
