Part-Time Finance Assistant (Permanent, Hybrid)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join my client in a newly created, permanent part-time position. This hybrid role offers flexibility and the opportunity to take ownership of both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, while providing vital support to the Finance Manager. You will also assist with month-end processes and contribute to the smooth running of our finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of the AP function, including invoice and credit note processing, supplier setup, and expense management.
  • Manage banking processes by reconciling income across accounting and CRM systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist with month-end tasks such as balance sheet and bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset depreciation.
  • Create and manage sales ledger invoices and credit control.
  • Support ad-hoc finance tasks as required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 1–3 years in a finance role, with strong knowledge of AP and AR processes.
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of debits and credits; Experience with accounting systems; proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Competencies: Professional, proactive, and detail-oriented with excellent time management and communication skills. Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
