Are you an experienced Accounts Senior looking for a part-time role with genuine flexibility? We’re supporting a growing and established accountancy practice in Sunderland who are looking to add a talented Accounts Senior to their friendly team.

If you have solid practice experience and enjoy supporting a varied portfolio of clients, this role offers long-term stability, autonomy, and a supportive working culture.

As a Part-Time Accounts Senior, you’ll be responsible for preparing accounts for a range of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. You’ll also get involved in VAT returns, management accounts, and bookkeeping tasks, ensuring clients receive an accurate and professional service.

• Prepare year-end accounts for a mixed client portfolio
• Complete VAT returns and assist with management accounts
• Carry out bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records
• Review and support the work of junior team members
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Assist with tax computations and handle client queries

You’ll be a confident, detail-focused accounts professional who thrives in a busy practice environment and enjoys managing your own workload.

You’ll need:

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice (essential)
• Experience using Xero and QuickBooks
• Knowledge of Nomi software (desirable – training provided)
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to manage your workload and meet deadlines

• £25,000–£30,000 pro rata (DOE)
