Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk

We have an opportunity for a part time Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a friendly finance team in an energetic company in the building industry. You’ll be working in recently refurbished offices where you’ll play an important role in processing invoices, statements and payments. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional who has a keen eye for detail and enjoys being part of a growing business.

This position is based on site at their offices in Great Barr, North Birmingham. Your working hours will be 20 per week and are flexible between 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Your salary will be up to £30,000 per annum pro rata / £14.42ph, depending on experience. You will also receive the following benefits:

As the Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk, you’ll be responsible for the day to day purchase ledger duties that will help keep the financial operations running smoothly.

As the Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk, your main duties will include:
  • Processing supplier invoices accurately and promptly
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice and payment discrepancies
  • Preparing and processing supplier payment runs
  • Managing the purchase ledger inbox, responding to queries efficiently
  • Liaising with procurement, site and commercial teams to ensure smooth invoice authorisation
  • Supporting the wider finance team as and when required
  
As the Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will have:
  • Previous purchase ledger or accounts payable experience
  • Previous experience within an SME business or owner-managed business
  • Highly organised to meet deadlines with a strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV would be desirable
  • If you have CIS/DRC knowledge, that would also be desirable
  • You may have experience in any of the following roles: Accounts Assistant, Accounts Clerk, Accounts Payable Clerk, Accounts Payable Assistant.
