Location: Near Christchurch, Dorset (Hybrid options available)
Contract: 12-month fixed term, with potential to extend
Hours: Flexible – full-time or part-time considered
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 DOE + benefits
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Financial Data & Reporting Analyst to join a dynamic finance team. This role is pivotal in automating and improving financial and KPI reporting processes across a diverse group of entities. You will work closely with finance managers and system project teams to streamline data collection, enhance data structures, and build reliable, scalable reporting tools.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, modernising processes, and creating high-quality reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Automate and improve financial and KPI reporting processes.
- Consolidate and validate data from multiple entities and sources.
- Build scalable reporting tools using Excel, Power Query, and Power Pivot.
- Enhance data structures and workflows for efficiency and accuracy.
- Support system upgrades, including data mapping and testing.
- Collaborate with finance managers on reporting and process improvements.
- Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements to data flows and reporting methods.
- Maintain documentation and ensure long-term scalability of solutions.
Skills & Experience Required
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query and Power Pivot (essential).
- Experience working with multi-entity or multi-system financial data (essential).
- Ability to automate reporting processes using workflow tools (essential).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and management reporting (essential).
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and validation (essential).
- Ability to build scalable templates, models, and workflows (essential).
- Hands-on, problem-solving approach (essential).
- Experience with Power BI (desirable).
