Part time Beauty Sales Wholesale Executive

Reports to: Senior Key Account Manager (UK)

Location: Hybrid – 2 days in Hertfordshire office + UK travel to trade shows

Hours: 30 hours per week (ideally 9am–3pm, Mon–Fri)

Salary: £25,000–£28,000 (pro rata; £36,000–£40,000 FTE) + up to 10% bonus

We’re now seeking a Business Development Executive to help grow our UK independent wholesale business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a passionate, mission-driven team and play a key role in expanding our presence across health food stores, pharmacies, gifting boutiques, and professional stockists.

The Role

As Business Development Executive, you’ll be at the centre of our UK wholesale growth strategy. You’ll manage inbound enquiries, convert new leads, and nurture smaller and mid-tier accounts — ensuring independent retailers feel supported and valued. You’ll also drive proactive outreach, follow up trade show leads, and contribute to the rollout of our 2026 UK Independent Sales Strategy.

This role is ideal for someone with sales or account management experience who thrives on building relationships, balancing organisation with creativity, and working both independently and collaboratively.


Key Responsibilities

Inbound Enquiries & Account Activation

  • Respond promptly to wholesale and professional stockist enquiries
  • Qualify and convert leads into active accounts
  • Support onboarding via Shopify Wholesale

Outbound Sales & Lead Generation

  • Research and contact potential stockists in health food, pharmacy, and gifting sectors
  • Follow up leads from trade shows and marketing campaigns
  • Maintain a structured outreach pipeline via CRM

Account Management

  • Build strong relationships with mid-tier accounts and small independents
  • Develop trade marketing calendars and email campaigns
  • Act as the main contact for UK independent customers

Trade Shows & Events

  • Attend key UK trade shows with the Senior Key Account Manager and Brand Ambassadors
  • Capture and follow up on leads post-event
  • Support event planning and promotional materials

Wholesale Platform Management (FAIRE & Shopify)

  • Respond to FAIRE enquiries and monitor sales performance
  • Ensure listings are accurate and product visibility is maximised
  • Identify opportunities for promotions and sampling campaigns

CRM & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate customer and lead data
  • Log outreach activity and report on KPIs
  • Work with Sales Analyst to interpret sales data

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing on trade campaigns and promotional assets
  • Liaise with Operations for smooth fulfilment
  • Align with E-commerce on product data and pricing


Key Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience in sales, business development, or account management (FMCG, beauty, or wellness preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a confident phone manner
  • Highly organised with excellent time and pipeline management
  • Comfortable using CRM tools, e-commerce platforms, and spreadsheets
  • Commercially astute with the ability to balance growth and brand integrity

Desirable

  • Experience in natural beauty, wellness, or health food sectors
  • Familiarity with trade shows, wholesale platforms (FAIRE, Shopify), or distributor partnerships
  • Understanding of B2B e-commerce or retail operations
  • Passion for sustainability and natural products

  • New active accounts created per quarter
  • Conversion rate of inbound enquiries and trade show leads
  • Reorder rate within three months of first purchase
  • Growth in mid-tier account revenue
