Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Warehouse Operations Shift Controller to join us at our Diageo site in Runcorn.You’ll provide leadership and guidance for your team of warehouse colleagues to enable them to meet objectives, encouraging open communication and addressing operational issues effectively.

This is a full time, permanent position, where you’ll be working rotating shifts of 2 days and 2 nights on, 5 days off, 2 days & 3 nights on and 4 days off, 3 days & 2 nights on and 5 days off, all shifts are 12 hours (07:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00)

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Ensure that day-to-day operational changes are incorporated into the department standards
• Continuously strive to improve the operational effectiveness of the site, to ensure high quality of service to customers
• Ensure all colleagues comply with company procedures and are aware of their own responsibilities to others
• Monitoring key performance indicators for the area

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Experience leading a team of warehouse colleagues within a large, fast-paced warehouse environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams to ensure excellent performance
• The ability to work to the highest levels of safety, service, accuracy and quality. IOSH Manging safely would be desirable
• An understanding of key operational cost drivers and cost centre management
