About Us

We’re a small, growing business in the Educational Online Training field focused on delivering quality and efficiency. As we scale, we’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to take ownership of our financial record-keeping and reporting.

Role Overview

This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting skills who enjoys working independently. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and preparing monthly management accounts to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with external accountants for monthly accounting services , payroll and year-end reporting and compliance
  • Process accounts payable and receivable
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial summaries
  • Assist with budgeting and cash flow monitoring
  • Check VAT returns and other statutory filings are completed accurately and on time
  • Sundry administration tasks for MD
  • Support for the Subscription Manager as necessary
  • Monitor ongoing expenses for value for money


Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in bookkeeping or accounting, ideally within a small business
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Good understanding of UK accounting practices and VAT regulations
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Attention to detail and strong numerical skills
  • AAT Level 3+ qualification or equivalent experience preferred
