This is a full-time, long-term opportunity ideal for graduates in Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, or Education - or for anyone eager to start a meaningful career supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

As a Mental Health Assistant, you will work closely with students, providing both 1:1 and small group support, helping them to regulate emotions, build confidence, and engage positively in their education. Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff, you'll play an essential role in promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilites:

  • Support students with emotional regulation and mental wellbeing
  • Help implement personalised learning and behaviour plans
  • Work alongside therapists and SEN staff to deliver targeted interventions
  • Foster trusting, empathetic relationships with pupils

This role offers invaluable, hands-on experience for aspiring Psychologists, Therapists, Counsellors, or Teachers.

** Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students

** £90 - £100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only
