Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving profitability, influencing strategic decisions, and ensuring strong financial governance across your business unit.

This is more than just a finance role — it’s about being a trusted partner to senior leaders, challenging the status quo, and helping the business unlock new opportunities for growth.

What You’ll Do

You’ll collaborate closely with your Director and Exec team, leading finance activity for your unit and delivering meaningful insights that shape the future of the business.

Business Partnering & Leadership

  • Partner with multiple departments, using financial analysis to drive change.
  • Act as a key stakeholder and challenger in operational decisions.
  • Balance strategic business partnering with robust financial governance.
  • Build business models and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate new growth opportunities.

Reporting & Insight

  • Own all financial reporting for your units: P&L, balance sheet, management information, cash management, aged debtors, and more.
  • Deliver clear, insightful KPIs to measure and explain performance.
  • Provide analysis that empowers leadership teams to act decisively.
  • Continuously improve the quality and impact of management information.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

  • Lead the annual business planning and regular reforecasts for your units.
  • Enhance budget and forecast processes.
  • Align your unit’s plan with wider strategic objectives.
  • Support internal and external audits.

Acquisition & Integration

  • Contribute to financial planning, forecasting, and due diligence for potential acquisitions.
  • Ensure smooth integration of acquired businesses into existing finance frameworks.

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll bring:

  • Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE) with strong financial reporting experience.
  • Deep understanding of the financial market within insurance.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to align finance and business strategy seamlessly.

You’re collaborative, proactive, and adaptable — with excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence at all levels. You’ll take ownership, motivate others, and deliver results under pressure.
