Support Worker Job Description

Precedo Healthcare are seeking flexible, motivated Support Workers to join our agency in Bury. This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of services, including community-based support, supported tenancies, residential care, and emergency support packages. If you are looking for flexibility in your work schedule, we have shifts available that suit your needs, including daytime hours, weekends, and overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care and support to individuals in various settings, including community environments, supported tenancies, and residential services.
  • Assist service users with daily living activities, including personal care, medication management, and emotional support.
  • Deliver person-centered care that focuses on promoting independence and enhancing quality of life.
  • Support individuals with complex needs, including those with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.
  • Work with clients on emergency support packages, providing urgent care and assistance as needed.
  • Follow care plans and contribute to the development of new support packages.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Children & Adults DBS or willing to apply
  • Experience in support work, ideally in community care, residential settings, or supported tenancies.
  • Flexible and reliable – able to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers.
  • A proactive and compassionate attitude toward supporting individuals with diverse needs.
  • Ability to adapt to changing client needs and emergency situations.
