Job Type: Part-time 1 day per week (5 days per month), Temporary to Permanent
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our team on-site in Kensington. This role is crucial in supporting both payroll and HR functions and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a systems migration project.
Day-to-day of the role:
Payroll Management:
End-to-end processing of monthly payroll using Cintra and Breathe HR.
Input and verify payroll data accurately, ensuring compliance with deadlines and regulations.
Liaise with payroll providers to ensure smooth processing and reporting.
Respond to payroll queries from employees in a timely and supportive manner.
Support with pension enrolments, income protection, and liaise with external providers as required.
Maintain payroll records and prepare reports for senior management.
Stay updated with payroll legislation and ensure compliance at all times.
HR Administration:
Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
Maintain accurate HR records and update the HRIS (currently BreatheHR).
Support HR queries and escalate when necessary.
Assist in drafting letters, contracts, and other documentation.
Ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies.
System Migration Project:
Assist with data collection, cleansing, and transfer as we move to Every HR and DataPlan.
Help test new system functionality and provide feedback to the project team.
Support with communications related to the new platforms.
Ensure employee data is migrated accurately and securely.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience in a payroll and/or HR administrative role.
Essential familiarity with Cintra.
Desirable familiarity with DataPlan, BreatheHR, or Every HR.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
High level of confidentiality and discretion.
