Due to growth our client is looking to recruit an experienced Finance Director on a permanent part time basis. This role will report directly to the CEO and board of a highly successful attractions business and will be based at their head office in York.

As Finance Director you will provide financial advice and guidance to stakeholders and be responsible for the leadership, development and direction of the finance team. In addition to the finance team, you will also manage the IT team, ensuring they are achieving objectives and working within budgets.

You will also monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity and financial stability and develop and control the Company’s annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets and regulations are met.

Essentially, you will develop and implement financial strategies, plans, budgets, policies and procedures to ensure the sound financial management and control of the company’s business forecasts to drive growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability in line with Company values.

The Ideal Candidate

You will be a qualified Accountant (ACAEW, ACCA, CIMA) and hold demonstrable experience as a Financial Director, Chief Financial Officer, or in a senior finance leadership role that has included responsibility for an IT function.

You will have the ability to build strong strategic alliances and partnerships, while remaining improvement focused, and be comfortable challenging the status quo when necessary.

Above all you will be a hands-on leader who is able to coach, support and inspire teams to achieve their fullest potential. You will have highly developed influencing skills, with the ability and energy to drive change and make things happen.
