Functional Assessor

Join our passionate, values-driven clinical team at Maximus, a trusted provider of the DWP since 2015. We’re looking for Registered Physiotherapists to conduct health assessments and make a meaningful difference to people’s lives. This is a hybrid role with only a few days per week in an assessment centre.

What you'll need:

• A valid HCPC registration + 1 year of broad post-registration experience in the UK
• 1 year’s experience working in musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy
• Confidence conducting 6 phone, video or face-to-face health assessments each day whilst working independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to produce accurate, well-documented Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
• Genuine empathy, professionalism and a desire to help customers move forward
• IT proficiency in order to manage digital systems for assessments and reporting
• You MUST have the right to work in the UK – we cannot offer sponsorship

• £41,500 salary
• Full-time: 9am to 5pm - 3 days at home, 2 on-site
• Part-time: 9am to 5pm - 2 days at home, 1 on-site (school hours available)

Maximus has delivered health assessments on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) since 2015. We deliver the Health Assessment Advisory Service (HAAS), including PIP assessments and Work Capability Assessments, for people who live in Northern England and Scotland.
