Overview

We are a recruiting for a multi award-winning private dental clinic in the heart of Brighton & Hove, seeking an experienced and fully qualified Self-Employed Dental Hygienist to compliment the friendly, supportive, and highly skilled team. This position is permanent/temporary working on a part-time basis every:

• Monday: 8:15am – 7:00pm (Monday to start of with)
• Tuesday: 8:15am – 5:00pm

What We’re Looking For:

• A fully qualified and GDC registered Dental Hygienist.
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in private practice.
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, friendly, and reassuring manner.
• Confidence to deliver assertive, professional advice and treatment planning to help patients achieve outstanding oral health.
• A genuine passion for patient care, education, and building trust-based relationships.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clinicians and support staff.

You will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices and assisting and complimenting the dental team in delivering and maintaining high-quality care.

Skills

• Ideally experienced in Dentally Software
• Proficient knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental procedures.
• Experience with medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnostics.
• Familiarity with CAD software is advantageous for enhancing patient treatment plans.
• Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with the dental team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in the practice.

Duties

• Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
• Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants to protect teeth.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Take and interpret medical imaging, ensuring accurate documentation of findings.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Stay current with advancements in dental technology and practices, including CAD (Computer-Aided Design) applications.
